DSCN2868It is wonderful to work together for a full year on our Image Quest© journals.  We have the time to get to know one another through expressive arts and our association with the images that we work with.

Toward the end of the group, we begin identifying the images that we are drawn to the most in our journal.  The way we know this is that we are in tune with a body sensation that precedes our thought.

Example:  You are leafing through your journal and you come to a crow image.  You get a quivering in your throat, then you say,

“OMG!  I am SO drawn to crows.  I’ve always thought that they were just creepy.  Look, they are showing up all over my pages in different ways!”

These images become our council of images. They are plucked out of the page spread, isolated and made into a card.  Eventually, everyone  will have

a full deck of Image Council Cards.
