We are returning from such a fabulous trip where we visited our extended family in London. They have an old family villa, Racalia, near Marsala Sicily where we went for 5 days and then back to London and then home. Villa Racalia was built in the mid 1700’s. Can you imagine?!! It is hard for me to wrap my brain around such a thing.
Racalia comes complete with a swimming pool, woodland, English garden, olive grove, bidets (of course) and the ghost of a Bishop who once lived there.
We traipsed around the woodland garden and found caves where we were told that the care taker and his family took shelter during World War II.
