On our trip to Italy I took time to journal most mornings and paint the vibrant Haemanthus flowers over and over again, while chasing around the busy bees using blind contour drawing!  Makes me laugh! I also smuggled one of these bulbs into the states and hope to have it bloom next year (Shhhh!)
